LATEST INJURY UPDATE ON BRABIM DIAZ AT AC MILAN

AC Milan have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Brabim Diaz has suffered a serious knee injury during training on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old was participating in a session at the club's training ground when he collided with another player and suffered a setback to his career.

Diaz, who joined Milan from Inter Milan in January this year for a fee believed to be around £15 million, is expected to undergo surgery to repair the damage to his knee ligaments.

The Argentine international, who made over 70 appearances for Inter before joining Milan, will now miss at least two months of action as he recovers from the injury.

While there is no guarantee that Diaz will return to full fitness in time for the start of the new season,Ligue 1 Express it is hoped that he can make a full recovery and continue his impressive form for Milan.

In the meantime, the club will look to find a replacement for Diaz in their squad, with several players currently out injured or unavailable through suspension.

However, Milan are hoping to bounce back from the setback by continuing their strong run of form in Serie A, where they sit second in the table ahead of Sunday's match against Roma.
