Updated:2025-10-03 08:05 Views:187Juventus FC have signed Welsh international winger Weston McKennie for £15m, the club announced on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old has been a regular in their starting XI under manager Massimiliano Allegri and has impressed with his ability to defend and control the ball from midfield.
McKennie made his debut against Roma last month and has scored twice in three appearances so far this season.
He is known for his dribbling skills and his ability to link up play with teammates, which has helped him become a key figure in the team's defence.
"I'm very happy to be signing a player like Weston," Allegri said. "I think he has a lot of potential and I believe that he will contribute a lot to our squad."
McKennie has also shown flashes of his talent in training sessions, scoring a goal during a friendly match against Norway.
"His pace and dribbling abilities make him a good option at left-back or as a substitute,Saudi Pro League Focus" said midfielder Mauro Icardi, who was one of the first players to feature in the match.
However, it remains to be seen how well McKennie will perform in his new role at Juventus, given his youth and the competition for places in the squad.
But Allegri is confident that he can help the team improve its defensive record and secure its place in Serie A next season.
"We need to work hard and get better each week," he said. "We're still young but we're working hard."
